MOHAWK PARK MEETUP

5280 Spruce Ave./240 Kenwood Ave., 10:00am – 1:00pm

Drop-in at Mohawk Park as part of National Health and Fitness Day to play with other families in the community. Meetup open to all but targeted for families new to Mohawk Gardens Public School as organized by our School Council volunteers.


HAVE FUN WITH SIDEWALK CHALK AND BUBBLES!

5808 Sunmill Crescent, 9:00am – 10:00am

James (5.5yo) will be making colourful art on the street and blowing lots of bubbles to pop!


CHALK UP DOWLAND CRESCENT

Meet in front of 1172 Dowland Crescent in Aldershot, 1:00pm – 3:00pm

Come help us cheer up our neighbourhood with sidewalk chalk art! Everyone welcome, we are happy to share our chalk but feel free to bring your own! 🙂


MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE CLASS

KooGle Theatre Company, 1450 Headon Road, 2nd Floor, 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Learn a dance routine from the musical Grease – all ages/all levels. Drop-ins welcome, but pre-registration is preferred. Email info@koogletheatre.com to sign up.

KooGle theatre Company is run by professional theatre artists Leslie and Christopher Gray and offers classes throughout the year in musical theatre, dance, singing, acting and performance opportunities such as showcases and musical productions


YOU ROCK

Westbury Park, 1470 Westbury Dr., 8:00am until all rocks are found!

We will leave decorated rocks with inspirational messages decorated by the students of Welcome Home Learning for other children to find.

Rocks will be hidden, ready for you to find the morning of June 4th. Guests are encouraged to only take 1 rock.


FREE KARATE

Tansley Woods, 1996 Itabashi Way, 10:30am – 11:45am

Come out and try some amazing karate techniques. Perfect for all ages. Learn how your body works to develop strength and flexibility.

Wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move and stretch. We are a barefoot activity. You are the equipment.


GRITLABS OUTDOOR GROUP TRAINING

Gritlabs Fitness Studio Parking Lot, 3410 Mainway, 8:00am – 8:45am

45 minute outdoor bodyweight workout. Workout will include a combination of high intensity workout and strength training and will be powered by Gritlabs trainers and upbeat music.

This will workout will be designed for all fitness levels. You get to chose your pace and intensity. Exercise modifications are demonstrated by the trainers.

  • Towel recommended

Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to register. Washrooms are available on site.


BAMBOO FLUTE MUSIC AND BREEZY MEDITATION – SPONTANEOUS YOGA

Spencer Smith Park, 1400 Lakeshore Rd., 2:00pm – 3:30pm

Let us trigger change within so we can make positive changes outside! Join us for a nature-inspired meditation where we will discover the hidden beauty of our inner being and of Mother Earth along the shores of Lake Ontario.

This session is open to everyone, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned meditator! We welcome all ages (even children!) to join us.

Shoreacres Park (Goodram & Spruce), 10:00am – 12:00pm

Participate in a scavenger hunt through Shoreacres Park Forest. Bring a smile 🙂


LONGEST HOPSCOTCH

Corner of Lansdown Dr. & Headon Rd., 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Add onto our Hopscotch, meeting new neighbours while having fun!


POP-UP AND PLAY

City Hall, 426 Brant St., 10:00am – 12:00pm

Join us for some fun, games, music and treats!


ELDER WISDOM AND CULTURE CHANGE IN SENIOR CARE

The Village of Tansley Woods, 4100 Upper Middle Rd., 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Take a seat on Elder Wisdom benches with residents who will share their life experience with visitors. Participate in an Elder Wisdom podcast scavenger hunt. Plus: Yard Games – play against a resident! BBQ with hamburgers, veggie dogs, and Freezies.

Event will be outside so please wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Hydro Path – From Guelph Line to Fisher, 1:00pm – 3:00pm

ART AND THE CITY – Downtown Public Art Walking Tour

Throughout Downtown Burlington, 9:00am – 5:00pm (or any time that fits your schedule!)

Experience Art and the City, a self-guided downtown public art walking tour. Art and the City is available online and accessible from any mobile device. The free web app offers a new way explore Burlington’s downtown and learn about public art in the process. The web-based map works across all platforms and allows residents and visitors to tour highlights from the public art collection using any internet-enabled smartphone or tablet. Art and the City is also available in PDF format to download, save and print.
