Yellow Fish Road

Yellow Fish Road educates the public about the importance of pollution entering our storm drains and how storm water pollution can harm fish, wildlife and reduce water quality. Participants can mark local storm drains with yellow fish symbols and distribute educational door hangers to homes in the area.

Little Lending Library
Kerns Park
10:00am – 12:00pm
Create a permanent structure in Kerns Park that is a free little lending library, with books for kids, teens and adults. People can take or leave a book.
Bring a book and help fill the library.

Hopscotch Crosswalks
John St. & Elizabeth St., South of James St.
8:30am – the chalk wears off!
Let’s show the City of Burlington that we want some fun, colourful crosswalks downtown! Take a walk along the pedestrian pathway and see how many people decide to play along and hop across the street.
Please be mindful that the road will still be open. Use caution when hopping across the street. The hopscotch will be available all day – until the chalk wears off!

North BurLINKton Ball Hockey Festival

We want to encourage our neighbours to grown their own!
We will talk about and tour the community gardens at Maple Park. Guests will be encouraged to take a Strawberry Plant for their own garden and/or plant out a sunflower seed in a repurposed container. All supplies will be provided.
Bring your little ones, and big ones. Let’s all get together outside and grow things.
If you have a container (such as a water bottle, large yogurt, old coffee cup) please bring it!
